Rainbow Pancakes is a fun way to make the popular breakfast food different, especially for the kids.
How:You can use any brand of pancake mix of your choice. If you do not have a recipe or want to try something different, here is one that you can use.
Recipe:
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of white sugar
1 1/4 cup of milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons of melted butter
food coloring of your choice
Instructions:
The first thing you should is sift all dry ingredients into a bowl. The second thing you should do is make a well directly in the center, and add the milk, eggs, and butter. The third thing you will do is separate you batter into individual bowls, depending on the number of flavors you want to use. Last but not least you will stir until you get the exact color you want.
When it comes to the actual cooking, you should oil or butter your pan or griddle, it is best to keep it on a low setting (pancake cook quick). You should then add your batter, only flipping the pancake when it edges bubble, this should be done with all colors. If you want to, you can put whip cream on top of your stack once they are plated.
