When my grandfather, who was a carpenter all his life, died, we decided to keep for ourselves several chairs that he had made throughout his life for his home. They were all beautifully crafted and one could tell they had been made with great love and patience, but over time he could not tend to them anymore which led to some of them becoming unusable. Of the ten or so pieces I kept I could only use the rocking chair and two others and was left with several damaged ones I could not use anymore and could not bare to throw away, until I found this post. As soon as the weekend comes I will start reviving them into great items for the house.
