You just opened the family microwave door and OMG! What a mess! Somebody (the kids) have been heating up something, probably pasta by the look of the red stuff on the ceiling, walls and heating plate. Splatter city! How many times do you have to tell them to cover the darn dishes? Might as well get started. The “first response” is right there under the sink…a bottle of dish detergent, one of those two-sided sponges with the scrubby side, and a bit of elbow grease.
